Experienced AHU estimator. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic AHU estimator to join our team in the role of estimating and designing air handling units (AHUs) for various projects. As an AHU Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales and project teams by accurately estimating costs, analysing specifications, and preparing competitive bids for bespoke AHU’s. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation and Pricing:

  • Utilize estimation software and tools to generate accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators and our external sales team, as well as contractors and consultants, to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Study project Schedules, technical specifications, and design drawings to accurately assess the materials, labour, and other resources required for accurate AHU design.
  • Review AHU designs to ensure quotations align with industry standards and regulations.

Technical Analysis:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of AHU components, functionalities, and installation processes.
  • Identify potential technical challenges or deviations from project specifications and consult with our engineering and design teams for solutions.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment of project goals and accurate estimation of costs.
  • Communicate effectively to gather necessary information and provide updates on estimate progress.
  • Participate actively in training programs to enhance your estimating skills and understanding of AHU systems.
  • Seek mentorship and guidance from experienced estimators to accelerate your learning curve.


  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in calculations and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) having experience with AHU estimation software would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and a strong desire to develop a career in estimating within the HVAC industry.

Technical Sales Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: The main purpose of the job is to sell air movement systems to both the OEM market and direct to M+E Contractors. There are two regions vacant: the North-East and the South/South-East. Responsibilities of the role:

  • Network effectively in the HVAC sector in the region, marketing Sovereign products, finding leads, following tenders and closing sales.
  • Have knowledge of customer applications in order to recommend products that meet customer requirements.
  • Build broad and deep relationships with key customers to understand their business to facilitate understanding of their requirements.
  • Make product and project recommendations based on customer needs and market trend developments.
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
  • Offering after-sales support services
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data
  • Work closely with the rest of the Sales Team and the Sales Director
