AHU Estimator

Job Specification:

Sovereign Air Movement Ltd is a leading manufacturer of commercial ventilation equipment, specialising in bespoke air handling units.  Due to continued growth over several years, a position has opened in the estimating team.

All AHU enquiries are handled by our estimating department.  This is completed using bespoke estimating software that sizes the various components required and produces a quotation complete with basic drawing and technical specification.

As Estimator, you will be required to:

  • Interpret customer requirements and specification
  • Attend meetings with customers to finalise any special requirements
  • Complete design of air handling unit using above mentioned software
  • Review quotation and associated documents and amend as necessary

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

  • Be confident and pro-active with self-driven work ethic
  • Must be confident with Windows based computer system
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience working in ventilation related industry preferred but not essential

Design/Project Engineer

Job Specification:

Sovereign Air Movement Ltd is a leading manufacturer of commercial ventilation equipment, specialising in bespoke air handling units.  Due to continued growth over several years, a position has opened in the production office.

The production office handles all projects from sale through to manufacture and delivery.

As Design/Project Engineer, you will be involved in:

  • Selecting components
  • Producing general arrangement and details drawings
  • Completing purchase requisitions and chasing delivery of components
  • Producing flat sheet metal drawings for punch programming
  • Processing flat sheet metal drawings through punch programme
  • Completing project documents such as Operation Manuals
  • Liaising with customers and arranging deliveries

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience (although not essential):

  • Be confident and pro-active with self-driven work ethic
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Experience of working closely with manufacturing (especially sheet metal work)
  • Proficient in Inventor (particularly iLogic and sheet metal)
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat

Although the above list is quite extensive, any candidate with relevant experience will be considered.

Technical Sales Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: The main purpose of the job is to sell air movement systems to both the OEM market and direct to M+E Contractors. There are two regions vacant: the North-East and the South/South-East. Responsibilities of the role:

  • Network effectively in the HVAC sector in the region, marketing Sovereign products, finding leads, following tenders and closing sales.
  • Have knowledge of customer applications in order to recommend products that meet customer requirements.
  • Build broad and deep relationships with key customers to understand their business to facilitate understanding of their requirements.
  • Make product and project recommendations based on customer needs and market trend developments.
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
  • Offering after-sales support services
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data
  • Work closely with the rest of the Sales Team and the Sales Director
